by michael j murphy. host: more political headlines. here is the free press, gm and chrysler, romney is wrong. republican presidential candidate mitt romney has broadened his attack on a barack obama's auto industry restructuring, implying a general motors used aid to hire more workers in china than the united states. it goes on to say that gm quickly defended its performance and said that romney is wrong on this. and here is the wall street journal on that story. even as mr. romney and mr. obama canceled a political appearances tuesday, the two campaigns -- escalated a heated exchange over mitt romney suggestion that the president also bailout had benefited china. he returned to pennsylvania in hopes of returning the momentum. the story wall street journal goes on to talk about that many have come out including those in the auto industry to say that the governor was wrong on this ad, that he is running in the state of ohio. we will talk about that more in about 10 minutes when reid wilson of the hot line joins us to talk about october surprises and all things campaign 2012. democratic caller

or china? under president obama gm cut 15,000 american jobs. but they are planning to double the number of cars built in china, which means 15,000 more jobs for china. and now comes word that chrysler plans to start making jeeps in, you guessed it, china. >> this radio spot is even more dishonest than the tv ad. not only does it double down on the jeep lie, but it suggests the auto loan didn't save the auto industry. general motors responded to the ad today saying "at this stage, we're looking at a hubble telescope-length distances between campaign ads and reality. gm's creating jobs in the united states and repateuating profits back to this kocountry should ba source of bipartisan pride." these ads had jeep employees scared about losing their jobs. so chrysler's ceo felt the need to set the record straight. he pointed out mitt romney's lie for the second time. in an e-mail to employees, he wrote "jeep assembly lines will remain in operation in the united states and will constitute the backbone of the brand. it is inaccurate to suggest anything different." who do you want to believe? th
